When I try using my keyboard on the Google Les Paul doodle, it starts a search...?

Go to Search Settings and turn off Google Instant. If you have a Google account, you're going to have to sign out before it starts working. For some reason, the keyboard capability doesn't work with the Google Account active. I had the exact same problem, and when I did those two things it worked perfectly.
