How are these "topics" helpful to students?

Wow. I feel sorry for you. This is severely f..ucking lame. It seems like the curriculum was a bit light, so they tacked on a few vague, masturbatory topics. At least you can BS through them. "Self-control"? Heh. Were they to understand the meaning of the word, they'd not have added it and four other topics to the course in a last-minute frenzy.
