How do you deal with jerks like this at work?

I work in a supermarket. I'm part time, and don't put in a lot of hours (for personal reasons). Everyone seems to be a gossip, and wants to know my business. They're always asking me about the hours I work (what time I come in, if I work the weekend and what time I go hone). One of the front-end coordinators once hounded me about the fact that I work less hours than most of the other workers there doing the same job, and kept insisting that I should work more. Apparently misery loves company, OR this guy is mentally ill. I laughed in his face about the discussion, and he went berserk on me; raising his voice and gritting his teeth. He's not a manager--just a young punk with a chip on his shoulder or something. I want to tell all of these people to shove off, but I'm a gentleman. How should I handle the situation?

I'm petrified of the dentist! So scared that I bit my dentist today.....?

So I'm 13 and I haven't seen a dentist dice I was about 8. U wasn't scared then so I don't now what happened. I think it's cos my teeth r so bad. They were fine when I last went, but it all went down hill. My gums bleed, my teeth are all a bit loose, they hurt all the time, and 5 are chipped. Today, I went again and he told me I need 5 extractions, 2 root canals and 10 cavities filled! I know, it's bad. Luckily, 3 of the teeth needing out are baby teeth! When he first got the cleaning thing to just wash them, I bit his finger really hard because he was doing it on a really sore tooth and it was hurting like HELL!!!!! I asked him to stop but he wouldn't and I just cracked. I ran out the office and ran hone and now in grounded for 2 months!!! What can I do to overcome this?????

Wondering how to handle future encounters with estranged husband?

The smart thing to do is actually keep the offenders in for life without parole rather than executing them because it costs much more to execute someone than it is to house them for life. Not many people realize this, it costs millions of dollars to go trial after trial after appeal after appeal etc. before you can actually execute someone. You have a lot of cliches--"didn't click in his brain" and "lump caught in his throat" are two. The writing is also a bit wordy and a little clunky. The beginning isn't very original; many, many stories/novels are started like this. The second paragraph needs to be several paragraphs; every time a different character is written about a new line should be started.

Alzheimers behavior question?

I understand the restlessness, forgetfulness, and occasional irritability. But, what would make an Alzheimer's patient "hone in on" one particular person? The patient sometimes follows this one person and nitpicks at them or even just starts arguments but only if others aren't around or the patient thinks no one else can hear. This person can be just sitting quietly watching TV, not saying a word. When someone else walks in, the "patient" backs off. This happens on a daily basis. What makes them (the patient) do this?

How can I make my new Travertine tiles more shiny?

The tiles are of the honed and filled type and have yet to be sealed with an impregnator. The majority of the tiles are in a wc room - walls and floor with (electric underfloor heating) and some in bathroom (floor with elec underfloor heating) and around basin and bath area. I have tried sanding a spare tile with 200/400/800 and 1200 paper with water but can hardly get any sheen on it at all. I am looking for a semi-gloss to gloss finish. Would like to use a low maintenance sealer ie reapplying no less than every 2-5 years if poss. If it requires extra polish on top of that then am willing to apply that more often. Thanks!

He's such a strong boy! He's been through so much and we have to put him down in atleast a week. He has asthma, hiv, and heart disease. I took him into the emergency room and they said it's probably worse. They said he probably has a bacterial infection or something they can't pick up. recently i've had a situation at work where i let someone joke around with me a little, then after a while it became really aggravating and distracting. it went on for several months, then i had a dream where the guy himself told me "just don't say anything", so, i started completely ignoring him, and would only be cool with him when it applied to the job or serious matters it applied to the job, or i would creatively make up an "important question" about the job, and it's worked out pretty well...even though he tries a little, it doesn't get under my skin. she might be trying to wreck you out of envy over your skills and/or looks, or she might be a lunatic that needs to be in an asylum or something, so just be very careful.. i used this metaphor that helped me - the hornets stay calm as long as i don't shake the nest. i think it's from shakespeare but i'm not exactly sure where i got it. maybe try respecting her for qualities that she has that you can't obtain or don't have, because she might be hunting for attention. if you absolutely can't stand her then get the heck out of there and leave the town you live in for another job (if you have to). life is short, and sometimes drastic measures have to be taken in order to secure your happiness, and someone like this can ruin the outcome of a job just by causing more tension than you need. maybe she was abused as a child, or neglected, so keeping compassionate views helps tremendously. i work at mcdonalds, with ex crack dealers and ex cocaine heads, and weedheads and pillheads and monsters... compassion and empathy keep me from getting angry and leaving the job because of the nonsense i have to put up with on a daily basis. it's chaos, and anyone can say and act however they want where i work, and it use to burn me inside and make me want throw everything away and walk out. i just became as ghost as possible. anyways, compassion helps from getting angry now ... goodluck.

Presumably you're going by tube to Stratford and then by train. Its not 100% safe, but most of the drunken rowdy behaviour you see late at night is high spirits more than anything else and is not particularly dangerous. Just be cautious - sit in the most crowded carriages etc (I've just looked at your question again. Do take the train from Stratford rather than the bus. Its so much quicker. If you do use the bus, sit near the driver)

Taking a cheater back?

Me and my friend started dating in December. We had a short break up in March and got back to together the last week of March. We have been dating long distance, he comes into town every month or two so it was okay and sustainable. Well exactly a week ago I found out he was dating another girl for over 2 months. As she put it they were in love. I thought my relationship was perfectly fine, me and him never fought and we never had any true conflicts. After surviving the pain and heartbreak of this last week, I've come into contact with him again. He says he has no real reason to why he did it though he is extremely sorry and mournful over the loss of our relationship. Can Anyone Offer Law School Insight?

I'm considering law school...but I'm not exactly sure and was wondering if someone could give me a little insight. Here's some perspective about me... For the last couple years I've basically been gearing up for an academic career, but I'm strongly reconsidering because I'm not as naive as I was as a freshman, and I know the market sucks for phd's, especially in my field. Anyways, I'm a junior at a pretty prominent liberal arts college in the US. I'm majoring in Linguistics and Spanish and speak 5 languages, 3 of them fluently. I TA for composition/oral communication and symbolic logic classes, so my writing/speaking and logical reasoning skills are high. Also, for those unfamiliar with linguistics, it REALLY hones your analytical skills. In addition, My GPA is a 4.0 (on a 4.0 scale), and I've received some high academic honors and grants from my college (for research that I've carried out here). Basically what I'm trying to say is that I'm not worried about getting IN to law school. Nor am I really worried about hating law school while I'm in it. The reason why I'm considering it so strongly is because I love a good intellectual challenge. What I'm worried is that I might get into law school, get a JD, and hate my job/life afterwords. If anyone here has experience in law (with my multi-cultural and multi-lingual background I'm drawn to International Law, but IP Law also interests me), could you describe the average curriculum, job prospects, and typical work involved? 350 chev very small nick on cylinder wall?

hi all.yesterday i pulled the heads off my 350 chev engine.thought i would check the cylinder walls for damage.i found a very small nick about 1/4 the way down cylinder number 4.is this going to be a problem.cant afford to rebore all cylinder and new pistons etc.motor was rebuilt around 8,000ks ago by last owner.could this be ring damage from before the rebuild that boring didnt totally remove.there has been no loss of compression in that cylinder or signs of oil usage.the nick is very hard to see at first but does catch on fingernail.althought it is not very deep i dont think a hone well fix it.it is the size off 4 0r 5 pin heads.its a pain because now i know its there its going to play on my mind.

Ghosts/Demons/Peoples Past - I see it all so here is my question...?

I feel the energy around me and through me. Even if I don't want to. I can "read people" and tell them about there most secrete inner feelings. I live their past for a brief minute that at times feels like forever. I feel and see in my minds eye spiritual energies, ghosts drifting through. I can "see" what they look like and I "feel" how they feel. I have tried to communicate with them but I am not able to get answers. I don't know how to "listen" to them. Ive felt malevolent beings and non beings and have been attacked by them. I consider myself spiritually strong and I try not to walk into a situation that could put me in danger but many times they come to me. Especially when I am at my weakest, while dreaming. My dreams are vivid, I feel in my dreams as if I am still awake. I can control them to an extent. I can change my dreams, most of the time. There are few times where I feel no control. I know when things are about to happen. Someone is about to call or show up at the door. I have constant de'javu's. I am 23 years old, the last I remember I was 5 when my first big event happened. I would recommend fostering those animals in need of a home. You foster them until they get a home (via The Human Society.) Which is a temporary home. You just give them food and water. The humane society will take care of shots, etc. It is an amazing way to help. And you should try one, then you can foster several at a time. Not just dogs, also cats, rabbits, etc.

Hi, I am going to school to be an english teacher. This question is always in the back of my mind when I see a horror movie. Producers and story writers have to think of some f*cked up stuff these day in order to make money and the ideas are horrendous. My mom payed for everything and I felt really bad about that because she's not getting paid as good as she used to. Well, she saw this cute bag she wanted. It was $25 plus tax and she only had $20. Being the good person I am, I took out $5 dollars from my purse and gave them to her. Then, because of the taxes we needed a dollar more so I asked my mom because I hadn't brought any more money. FIrst, she refused. She said it was too much money. In the end, she took it. She bought the bag and this whole week she's been practically ignoring but she wears the bag/purse thing to school. I reminded her twice that she had to pay me back and she just said "yeah i know". She keeps hanging out w/ one of our other friends and she wont even say hi to me anymore. Her and our other friend switch book bags every day and the other day she was about start doodling on the bag. Hi, i ovulated over a week ago, me and my partner had sex nearly everyday leading up to ovulation, everyday during ovulation and then after.Now i have been experiencing abdominal cramps, lower backache, my breasts seem more full and i am having mood swings worse than ever before. I think you asked if you could sue the person who interviewed you and the answer is no. You can't sue a person just because he didn't call you back concerning the job. They only call if they hire you and he didn't want to hire you. Ask a friend to look over your resume and help you make corrections.

Ok, I’m just 20 days removed from high school, and not so sure what I’m going to do with myself for the rest of my life. My passion is writing and I’ve written a couple poems and short stories. I didn’t have the grades or money at the moment to head off to college. Can anybody get me published? Because I promise I can write some of the best stuff. Well I’ve had an idea for a new short story and here it goes.. (This story is about a shy young boy ( a freshman) at Ellsberg High school whose academic skills make him an outcast among his peers. The new 9th grade teacher has just arrived, she’s beautiful, intelligent, and everything you could ever want. Her name is Mrs. Watson, a married woman and just shy of her 35th birthday. Beyond the classroom she is tortured by her alcoholic abusive husband. One day as the young boy is sitting all alone after class she approaches him, and it starts out as an innocent conversation, but after awhile it involves into something more than they could have imagined. They have an ongoing affair during the current school year, and start to share each others life stories and secrets. One night the boy witnesses his own teacher get beat on by her abusive husband, he wants her to tell somebody but she refuses. The only way she feels that she can be completely safe is if she murders her own husband. She than tells the boy the plan, but not her doing the killing but the boy himself. So the boy commits this murder in an attempt to please his lover/teacher…. Anybody like it so far? I'm open to anyone's advice!! I really need a place to get started..

Do i Need to get my motor bored?

i bought a 350 that was sitting a while as a temp motor until i finish my real build it which is a pontiac 400 while inspecting the temporary motor i was going to drop in until my 400 is done i notice small nicks and dings in 2nd and 6th cylinder wall i went and rented a hone and tried to clear it up but the hone was too smooth to clear them up i would like to know if it would be bad to put it back together as a temporary motor or will i need to bore it i am avoiding boring it due to it being a temporary motor what could be the side effect of theses nicks and dings and also if i plan to reuse those rings will i have too much blow by?? i measured it with a feeler gauge i had laying around and i know it has less then .008 wear in the walls the motor had 80k when pulled? i need to know what to do the engine is a 76 pontiac 350

Really itchy sunburn after putting regular lotion on?

We didn't have aloe vera lotion. My sunburn on my back was very dry. My mother said any lotion would sooth it. Well, the lotion we used, had a irritant in it, we found that out the hard way. I tried a anti itch cream, nothing, I did vinegar it helped for a few hours, and if I keep a wet wash cloth on my back, it keeps it under control, but once I take it off, it itches badly. Does anyone know a hone remedy or anything to get rid of the itching? It leaves me in pain, and I want it gone. Thanks in advance

For the past week, these irritating gnats have been invading my house. I'm sure that there are @ least 20 here! I've already tried to get rid of em by putting out the bowls of Apple Cider Vinegar/dish detergent mixture. I put 2 bowls out, one in the kitchen and 1 in my bedroom. I only caught 3 in my bdrm and NONE in the kitchen. I've put away all of my fruits/veggies, I don't have any houseplants, & I've bleached all of my countertops.
